HIVE Staking And Community Tiers
HIVE staking is optional membership. Stake HIVE to reach one of six bee tiers, which earn Honey faster, give more free-agent usage, and unlock member pricing of up to 61% off on participating services. HivemindOS works fully without holding or staking HIVE.
What staking gives you
- wallet-linked community identity and profile status
- a Honey earning multiplier
- a free-agent usage multiplier
- member pricing of up to 61% off on participating services
- eligibility for token-specific community activities
Staking does not grant company ownership, binding governance, treasury control, admin access, guaranteed placement, yield, revenue share, or a financial return. The benefits are services, not payouts. Cloud subscriptions, managed usage, and enterprise contracts can all be bought without HIVE.
How to stake and unstake
The staking contract on Base is non-custodial:
- Connect a Base-compatible wallet.
- Approve and stake HIVE. The contract records your active stake, which sets your tier.
- To leave, request unstaking.
- Wait for the visible three-day cooldown.
- Withdraw your HIVE to the same wallet.
You can always withdraw your principal after the cooldown. Staked HIVE is not company treasury property and cannot be used for buybacks.
The six tiers
| Public tier | Active stake | Honey earning | Free-agent usage | Member pricing, at most | Copy-trading profit share |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Honeybee | 1m HIVE | 1.00× | 1.10× | 0% | −1 point |
| Bumblebee | 10m HIVE | 1.10× | 1.20× | 10% off | −2 points |
| Mason Bee | 50m HIVE | 1.25× | 1.35× | 20% off | −3 points |
| Orchid Bee | 100m HIVE | 1.45× | 1.50× | 30% off | −3 points |
| Carpenter Bee | 250m HIVE | 1.70× | 1.75× | 51% off | −3 points |
| Queen Bee | 1b HIVE | 2.00× | 2.00× | 61% off | −3 points |
Member pricing is the most a tier can take off a participating service. The copy-trading column is the points taken off the profit share on copied trades, which never goes below 5%.
These are membership tiers, not investment-return tiers. Tier names and thresholds do not promise future value.
Honey earning multipliers
Your tier multiplies Honey only when you earn it from accepted contribution evidence. Holding HIVE alone creates no Honey. Honey stays one non-transferable, non-spendable record; a multiplier changes how much an accepted contribution records, but it does not make Honey cash or convert it to HIVE. A Founding Bee adds +0.5× on top of the tier multiplier, capped at 2.5× in total. See Honey, HIVE, And Treasury.
Free-Agent Usage Multipliers
Everyone gets the ordinary free-agent allowance, powered by Swarm Sovereign models. A workspace with a signature-verified link to a staking wallet gets its tier’s multiplier on its daily request and token allowance.
- The allowance is a service benefit. It cannot be transferred, redeemed, withdrawn, sold, or converted into cash, HIVE, Honey, revenue, or treasury assets.
- One verified workspace shares one boosted allowance across all its devices.
- IP and platform-wide safety limits remain unchanged.
- If the tier check fails for any reason, you get the ordinary unstaked allowance.
- If your lifetime Honey qualifies you for a higher multiplier, the higher one applies. They do not stack.
- Holding a HivePunk adds to the allowance on top of that, capped at 2.5× overall.
The quota schedule may change or pause going forward for capacity, abuse, legal, security, or operational reasons.
Member Pricing: Up To 61% Off
Participating services may offer HIVE members up to 61% off. This is consumption pricing: a member pays less for eligible usage, and no tier receives a payout.
Exact service prices, cost floors, eligible products, and tier-level discount calculations remain server-owned. The hosted service checks your stake and quotes the price; the app cannot grant a tier, change a price, or go below a cost floor. “Up to 61% off” is the maximum, not a promise for every product or tier. The exact price is shown when you get a quote.
Revenue Policy Is Separate From Staking
HivemindOS allocates 15% of each service’s server-owned allocation basis (realized margin for most managed services, recognized platform revenue for others) to HIVE buybacks. A separate exact 15% goes to the company treasury. Two exceptions apply: credits bought with HIVE create no buyback or treasury allocation when they are spent, and HiveVerse home upgrades split 40% to HIVE buyback and burn, 40% to the HivePunks reward pot, and 20% to the treasury. The treasury does not fund buybacks, and staked principal funds neither. Confirmed purchases are published in the HIVE Buyback Ledger. Since 2026-09-30, the HIVE each purchase buys is burned in a separate transaction on the same ledger.
Buybacks and treasury allocations give holders and stakers no payout, ownership, governance right, price promise, or claim. See Revenue Allocations And Treasury Boundaries.
Changes to tiers and benefits
HivemindOS shows stakers the contract address, chain, active stake, pending unstake, cooldown, and withdrawal state. It does not market staking with expected price gains, and core product access never depends on holding HIVE.
Tier thresholds, member pricing, eligibility, and benefits may change, pause, or end for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, security, liquidity, market-integrity, reserve, or operational reasons. We publish material benefit or policy changes prospectively with an effective date, and completed on-chain receipts stay on the public record. See Tokenomics Policy Changes.
