HivemindOS manual

App Builder And Hosting

HivemindOS lets users ask an agent to build and refine an app on their own hardware, then pay for hosting only when the app needs to be shared or stay online.

  • App Builder drives adoption. Building, file edits, installs, and local previews run on the user’s own or linked machines, with no managed cloud agent needed.
  • Hive Publish drives recurring revenue. HivemindOS runs the public URL, release storage, access rules, renewals, and isolated server-side runtime.

For the user workflow and limits, see the App Builder guide.

Prices

Revenue stream Customer value Current charge
Share Preview A branded URL for a finished static build without an ongoing commitment $1 for seven days
Hosted Site Renewable static hosting for ordinary websites $5 per 30 days
Pro Site Renewable static hosting with a larger release allowance $15 per 30 days
Dynamic App Renewable isolated server-side edge execution $25 per 30 days
  • Each charge covers one Site. A customer can host several Sites.
  • Anyone can buy hosting, including users who build entirely on their own machine. They don’t need a Managed Cloud Agent.
  • Renewable plans have opt-in auto-renew and debit the hosted credit balance every 30 days.
  • After a failed renewal, a seven-day grace period keeps the app online, and a 30-day retention window lets the customer recover the release.
  • This is renewable hosting, not lifetime hosting.
  • The $1 preview is meant to come from an existing credit balance or a larger top-up, so a card fee doesn’t eat a $1 charge.

Role in the business

Publishing is an easy first purchase: a free local user pays for one managed outcome before needing a subscription. Retained publishers can then grow into Cloud Pro, Cloud Team, managed agents, models, and APIs. Hosting is an entry point into Hivemind Cloud, not a separate business.

Costs and margin protection

HivemindOS charges per Site, while the hosting provider’s base plan and included allowances are shared across all Sites. Cloudflare’s current pricing starts with a $5 monthly account minimum, then meters extra requests and CPU. See Cloudflare’s Workers pricing and Dynamic Workers pricing. Storage, logs, support, payment processing, refunds, and taxes vary with real use, so gross margin is measured from production cohorts, not estimated.

To cap cost, each Dynamic App Site is limited to 10 million requests, 250 million reserved CPU-ms, 1 million storage operations, and 1 GiB of runtime storage. Every request reserves the full 25ms CPU ceiling, so the budget is conservative. When the request or CPU limit is reached, requests are refused until the allowance resets. When the storage-operation allowance runs out, further storage calls are refused, and a write that would exceed storage capacity fails without changing the stored value. At current Cloudflare overage rates, a Site using its full allowance stays bounded relative to its $25 plan price.

Investor reporting should show hosted properties, preview-to-renewal conversion, 30/90-day hosting retention, revenue per property, infrastructure, payment, and support cost, and contribution margin.

Official prices, renewals, credit debits, and URL ownership are enforced by HivemindOS servers. The app can show and submit a plan, but it cannot change hosting prices.
