Concentrated Liquidity

HivemindOS can watch a real Uniswap v3 position on Base and model when moving its price range may be worth it. The manager is shadow-only: it reads public chain data and moves a virtual range, but it has no signer and cannot approve tokens, remove liquidity, mint a position, or submit a transaction.

Use it to test an automated market-making idea before giving any system authority over funds.

Set up a shadow monitor

  1. Open Trade, then choose Liquidity.
  2. Enter the numeric NFT ID of a Base Uniswap v3 position in Position NFT ID.
  3. Set a target range, edge trigger, cooldown, evaluation window, fee APR assumption, gas estimate, inventory (impermanent-loss) cost, and minimum net benefit.
  4. Select Inspect position and check the owner warning, live range, and decision explanation.
  5. Select Save shadow monitor, then start it or run one evaluation now.

Entering an NFT ID grants no permissions. You can inspect a position owned by another address; HivemindOS labels the mismatch.

What each decision means

Each evaluation reads the position, its pool, current price tick, range, fee tier, owner, and token amounts. For stablecoin-quoted pools it also estimates USD value. The position is then marked:

  • Hold: the price is comfortably inside the range.
  • Watch: the price is near or outside an edge, but a safety or cost check hasn’t cleared.
  • Propose rebalance: every check cleared, so a new virtual range is centered on the current price.

The explanation shows the distance to the nearest edge, estimated fees, gas and inventory-cost assumptions, expected net benefit, and any cooldown left.

The paper ledger

Each monitor keeps a local paper portfolio. It earns modeled fees from your fee APR only while the virtual range is in range, and pays your gas and inventory cost on each virtual rebalance. It reports principal, fees, total value, return, a same-start HODL comparison, costs, and rebalance count.

Paper results are scenario output, separate from the real position’s on-chain principal and fees. Don’t compare them with a control measured over a different start date.

Your assumptions matter

The live shadow manager does not predict fees or impermanent loss; the fee APR, gas, and inventory costs are your inputs. A proposed rebalance means your scenario cleared its threshold, not that a real trade would profit. If USD value can’t be estimated, the economics check fails closed. An out-of-range position earns no fees until price returns, which is why range distance is shown prominently.

Test policies against history

The research runner replays many paper policies over past Base data at once, using the pool’s real swap events to estimate fees. It compares fixed-width, recentering, and volatility-adaptive ranges against passive LP and HODL.

  --full-resolution
  • The quick pass samples 1,000 blocks from each 10,000-block window; use --full-resolution to confirm a finalist.
  • It tests a capital ladder of $5, $50, $500, and $5,000, so fixed costs at tiny sizes don’t hide a policy’s merit.
  • It uses a train/holdout split, a one-bar execution delay, and three separate walk-forward periods.
  • A policy must beat both passive LP and holding the starting tokens before it becomes a proposal.

Winners are review-only proposals. The runner never edits a monitor, reads a wallet key, or applies a policy. Any live execution is a separate decision.

Run it in the background

The Trade desk can run one evaluation while it is open. For an always-on observer, install the optional service from a HivemindOS source checkout:

./scripts/install-liquidity-range-manager.sh

To remove only this service:

./scripts/install-liquidity-range-manager.sh uninstall

Saved policies and history stay on your computer after uninstall.

Safety boundary

  • Base and Uniswap v3 only.
  • Public, read-only contract calls only.
  • No private-key access, approval, transaction, signature, or submission path.
  • A “rebalance” only changes the virtual range stored on your computer.
  • Estimates are scenarios, not financial, accounting, legal, or tax advice.
